About Reframe
Jesus invites us to reframe our lives by the power and hope of the gospel. Reframe is a 3-5 minute podcast focused on drawing out the deep gospel implications of Scripture for our lives.
Reframe’s Inspiration: “Dear Ones”
You might say that the Reframe podcast got its start organically! Several years back, our host, Jim Weaver, started writing small devotionals for his high school and college aged children, always referring to them affectionately as his “Dear Ones.” In 2017, when Jim and his wife, Karen, and three of their younger children, moved 4000 miles away to West Africa as missionaries, these devotionals played a role in keeping the family together. The practice of writing these devotionals is fueled by Jim’s passion to see his children captivated by Jesus and the grace of the gospel.
Amidst the COVID19 crisis of 2020, Jim decided to do a simple audio recording of his final devotional in a series leading up to Easter Sunday morning and send it to his “Dear Ones” via WhatsApp. At the urging of his daughters and their friends, Jim agreed to do a follow-up series entitled “Beyond Easter,” and that’s how the Reframe podcast was born. Though still in its infancy, God is already using Reframe to encourage university students, pastors, missionaries, and battle-weary believers around the world to reframe their lives by the power and hope of the gospel.
